The Giant Sextant: The centerpiece of the site is the remains of a massive stone quadrant (sextant) with a radius of 40 meters. It was used to measure the positions of stars and planets with incredible precision.

Scientific Breakthroughs: Using this observatory, Ulugh Beg and his team of scholars compiled the "Zij-i-Sultani," a star catalogue describing 1,018 stars—the most accurate map of the sky for centuries.
